Fragments: Sarah’s Memory 1

We’ve been asking the team behind Fragments to share a memory that a special object holds for them.

This is the flowerpot man that I bought for Mum to mark her first trip to the garden centre after her second hip replacement. The garden centre was a ten minute walk away, although it was more like twenty whilst she was recovering. We would walk up, have a cup of coffee (or in her case tea) and a slice of cake in the cafe, then choose some plants and get a taxi home. She had a tiny patch of garden, but it was always full of colour and I still have many of the photos that she took of it.
