monstrous love revisited

It’s weird how the smallest details become etched into your memory.

An autobiographical journey about surviving domestic abuse. Using a mix of collaged classical texts and autobiographical new writing by Sarah McCourt, Monstrous Love Revisited questions representations of abuse in our culture. Directed by Sara Reimers, the performance explores the often hidden work of rebuilding a life through the relationship between Sarah (Sarah McCourt) and their younger self (Katie Bottoms).

‘Interweaving of comedy really emphasises the reality of the monstrous story’
